Whilst we aren’t able to operate our normal Street Connect community services during the week, due to the government guidance on social distancing and containing the spread of Covid 19, we are still here to help and support in any way we can.

So if you are isolating and need help with shopping or would like someone to talk with or pray with you, we would be delighted to help. Just get in touch via one of the contact details at the bottom of the page and we will get back to you asap.

During this time of lockdown, we are also not holding our normal worship services at the church. We are, however, streaming services on line each week, which you can see on our YouTube channel, Community Church Deal YouTube. Those producing the online services are abiding by all the relevant guidelines on social distancing and taking the necessary precautions to avoid spreading Covid 19. The guidelines allow for churches, venues and broadcasters to stream live acts of worship or music provided only a small number of people are involved, distancing is observed and there is no congregation/audience present. A link to the latest advice is posted below for your information.

So if you see people coming and going to the church or hear music, it is just us streaming our services to those who want to join us online when they can’t get to church normally.

We really want to be there for you and our community in this time of national crisis, so please do get in touch if we can be of service to you, your family or your friends.

God Bless

Following the government advice on Monday 16th March regarding limiting the spread of the Coronavirus by avoiding social gatherings, we have had to take the decision stop all of our gathered meetings until further notice.  That means we will need to use different ways to communicate and share encouragement with each other. Instead of our normal Sunday services, we will be posting messages online for you to dial into. These are avalable on our You Yube Channel, Community church Deal You Tube. There are also videos for our children's work. I'd like to encourage everyone to view the videos live at the normal time of our services, 10:30 am, so that we still come together at the same time to hear from God, to pray and seek His heart. They are also saved onto our Sermons Tab here after streaming. We should not be meeting in life groups for the time-being, but I have asked those who lead a group to think about ways you can either maintain a group forum, (maybe by skype or something similar), or at least ensure you are continuing to keep in contact with those who attend. Try to establish a buddying system amongst your group and also reach out to others who may not be part of a formal group at the moment. As the virus develops, some may have to self-isolate and it will be even more important that they continue to feel connected. Let us know how you get on and share any innovative ways you have come up with to keep in touch with each other. In the coming days, we will need to provide support in three ways for our church family and those in the wider community: - prayer - contact by phone or other means - practical support for those who may not be able to get out We have reviewed the list of people who attend, or who we are in contact with, and have highlighted those we feel may be at most risk. We will be assigning people to maintain contact and provide whatever support is needed to them. However, everyone is going to need support and encouragement and I would like to ask you to consider whether you can volunteer to pray, make contact with others or provide practical support to people who can't get out by doing their shopping etc. If you would be good enough to respond to this email with what you think you can do, we will keep a list of those who are able to help and will contact you should there be a need you can help to support. In order to provide this network of support, it will be necessary for us to share contact details with those who are coming alongside people. We want to respect everyone's right to privacy, but we also want to ensure people are cared for. Should you not want us to provide contact details to others within the church family, then please advise us and we will remove your details from this support network. In addition, should you need to self-isolate and would like prayer or practical support, please do let us know and we can then put measures in place to help you. We don't want anyone to suffer needlessly and don't feel you are being a burden - we are family and we will be there for each other during this period. We shouldn't be surprised at what is going on in the world. The Bible clearly speaks of what things will be like in the end times and we are seeing it unfold in front of our eyes.  So it might be unsettling, but I believe this is a time when we will be able to shine and make Jesus known even more effectively as people look for truth and hope in a dark world. We have the answer, His name is Jesus. Let's make Him known! Love you all. God Bless Jes
